Provincial Rebate & Incentive Programs
For a limited time, get up to $5,000 in rebates (regularly $2,000), up to 50% of costs, per charger to purchase and install Level 2 networked EV chargers at your building’s residential parking spaces, to a maximum of $25,000 (regularly $14,000).
For a limited time, workplaces can get a rebate of up to $5,000 (regularly $2,000) per charger to purchase and install eligible Level 2 networked EV chargers for employee use, to a maximum of $25,000 (regularly $14,000). A business can apply for up to four workplace sites, for a maximum rebate of up to $100,000 (regularly $56,000).
Covering up to 75% of project costs, with higher coverage for indigenous communities, this program provides rebates for businesses, municipalities and First Nations transitioning fleets to electric power. Eligible expenses include facility assessments, electrical infrastructure installation and the purchase and installation of Level 2 networked EV Chargers.
The Alberta Municipal Climate Change Action Centre (MCCAC) offers the Accelerating to Zero grant program, providing funding for Level 2 EV chargers for municipalities, businesses and organizations.
Manitoba does not offer rebates for home EV charging stations, but residents can finance Level 2 chargers up to $3,000 through the Home Energy Efficiency Loan. No down payment is required, and the monthly payment is added to the energy bill.
The federal government offers a 50% reimbursement of costs, up to a maximum of $5,000, for the purchase and installation of eligible Level 2 charging stations through the Zero-Emission Vehicle Infrastructure Program (ZEVIP).
