Appleton AHL and EHL Series provide convenient, portable incandescent lighting in a factory sealed, explosion-proof design suitable for use in hazardous and wet locations. Common to both are Sturdy fixture with rugged hanging hook. Heat- and impact-resistant glass globes. AHL series are general purpose explosion proof lighting fixture: an A-51 fixture with hook and cable clamp handle assembly class I,II,III. Aluminum fixture unit, hook and guard; two-coat epoxy enamel finish. Safety grounding – additional terminal furnished to connect to grounding conductor. EHL general purpose explosion proof portable handlamp: only 5"/127 mm in diameter for ease of movement. Laminated phenolic fixture body, handle and cable clamp; brass hook, aluminum guard. Portability, with phenolic handle and non-sparking guard with hook. Easy relamping – loosen setscrew, unscrew guard, remove globe and insert lamp. Safety grounding – remove cable and clamp and make connections to terminal (including one ground terminal) then tighten clamp.
